What can be achived in Ibiza in the rain…

by Aly Hazlewood on February 8, 2012

Last summer I went to Ibiza to shoot for The Hub magazine with my friend and Fashion Editor of The Hub, Nicole Smallwood. In our 4 days there it more or less rained constantly, which is highly unusual weather for that time of year in Ibiza, and just about the worst thing a team can experience on a short trip when shooting swimwear and couture.

In spite of our dampened spirits we ploughed on, and during the brief breaks in the cloud and rain we managed to cobble together a summer beauty/swimwear story around the gorgeous pool at the Ushuaia Beach Hotel and a couture brights story which I thought I’d share with you here.

Behind the scenes, here’s our lovely team wrapped up in coats and scarves in Ibiza in July!

Dark foreboding clouds over the lovely pool at the Ushuaia Beach Hotel…

The lovely Nicole in full styling mode, throwing our model’s dress in the air a hundred times in order to get exactly the right lift of the fabric..

Our model Lauren, hoping that the frog might just transform into her Prince Charming.

The awe I’m in can’t even be described! The lighting, highlighting, bronzed make-up, I’m in love. Well done on a great shoot!
