Bellapierre Mineral Cosmetics – Reader Review

by Aly Hazlewood on March 4, 2011

Reader Colleen Burkill recently wrote to me about a rare skin complaint she currently has, in essence an allergy to sunlight that causes a red rash which, as you can imagine, is fairly distressing for her. I recommended Bellapierre Mineral Cosmetics because they are completely 100% pure mineral and therefore very gentle on lots of skin complaints. This is what Colleen had to say about the brand.

Aly, I thought I’d drop you a quick email to let you know how I’m getting on with the makeup you recommended. I actually invested in the Bellapierre mineral foundation which is fab. I can’t rave about this enough, I sweated my way through Zumba and my make up was still in place, as if I’d just applied it! I also love the fact that you only need one product which acts as your base and powder – can’t thank you enough for introducing me to this brand. I was that impressed, I invested in a powder blush – again brill product that lasts all day and comes in a great range of colours.

Bellapierre also  has an offer at the moment where you get 3 eyeshadow pigments, 2 eye shadow applicators and a base (concealer) all for 25 quid – considering the eyeshadows alone cost 12 quid – this is a major scoop!  So I invested in this also.

I know you are familiar with the product, but I’m really impressed by the versatility of it – especially the pigments. Where, simply by adding water you can: intensify the colour or use as a liquid eyeliner;  mix with the base and matt pigment; mix with Vaseline or lipgloss to create a lipstick; and, mix with clear nail varnish to create your very own nail colour – impressive stuff.

Anyhow, a big thank you for your advice – absolutely love the brand!

Hi Aly,

I should add – the two eyeshadow brushes you get as part of the current Bellapierre ‘deal’ are £14 each – So, all in all, a massive saving – madness! Suggest you all head to House of Fraser NOW and stock up on this fab cosmetic range and offer.

Thanks again,

One very satisfied reader – Coll x

Thanks for the review Colleen and the advice Aly.

I’ve never tried mineral makeup before, but this brands seems like a good place to start. I like the ideas for the use of the pigments….a real opportunity to be creative!
