Regular readers of my blog will know that I don’t get hugely excited about nail polish on the whole, perhaps because I rarely wear it myself. It’s hard to keep one’s nails immaculate when one is continually removing chipped polish from model’s hands.
However, news of YSL’s new nail collection elicited a little flutter of enthusiasm here at TTAB. I’ve always been very impressed by the way YSL enamel glides onto the nails, have a density of colour and great staying power. I have several limited edition shades in my kit and I dread the day they run out, never to be replaced.
So this new collection of 30, yes 30 shades is quite exciting. “Inspired by YSL creations and artistic legacies, such as blue majorelle, timeless fuchsia, tuxedo black, saharan beige and a palette of original colors inspired by the new Yves Saint Laurent Couture collections designed by Stefano Pilati.”
